Cheetah — a 1:1 scale sculpture

The figure is 120 cm long, 90 cm tall and 50 cm wide and shows a cheetah mid-stride, head turned to the side and mouth slightly open. Hand-sculpted and hand-painted: every spot has its own shape and a soft edge instead of an even stencilled disc, black tear stripes run from the eyes to the corners of the mouth, and the tail ends in dark rings and a pale tip. The slender, long-legged build is what separates a cheetah from the heavier big cats — a detail visible from the far end of a room, and the one that decides whether the sculpture reads as a specific species or as a generic cat shape.

Finish and indoor display

The high-gloss lacquer lifts the pattern of the spots and catches accent lighting, so the figure sits well in schemes built on dark stone, wood and LED strips. For its size it weighs very little, so moving it between areas of a venue needs no equipment and no dismantling:
