Design and Craftsmanship

Measuring 230 x 145 x 155 cm (length x width x height), the figure shows a large sea turtle resting on the sand with one flipper raised high. The smooth olive-brown shell blends into pale flippers covered in a dark gray, net-like pattern of patches, and the skin of the neck is softly wrinkled. A gentle head with a large, glossy eye and light speckles gives the whole piece a calm character. The whole piece is hand-sculpted and hand-painted.

Weather Resistance and Uses

The fiberglass laminate withstands UV exposure, rain, frost, temperature swings and water, so the figure can stand outdoors all year round, including beside ponds and pools, and stays relatively light for its size. It works well as:
